About Destiny's Grooming

Hola y bienvenidos, I’m Mario Martinez. I started Destiny’s Grooming as a contracting service in 2016. Driven by my love for animals, I would spend the next four years pursuing my dream of opening a full-service dog grooming salon. With the loving support of my wife Marisela, that dream became a reality in November 2020.

My dog grooming career began in 2001 at Wizard and Paws in Berkely, California. It was here that I learned to bathe the dogs, clip their nails, clean their ears, and cut, shape and style their fur. I spent the next 15 years perfecting what I had learned.

In 2016, I became an independent contractor and began operating under the business name Destiny’s Grooming, which I named after my daughter Destiny.

At the end of 2017, we moved to Gladstone, Oregon, where I began doing independent contract work for Mudpuppies Grooming, in Clackamas, Oregon.

My wife, Marisela, and I have always had a desire to provide a stress-free grooming environment for the dogs. A place where we didn’t have to rush the grooming process and could allow the dogs to relax while gaining their trust. Together, we decided that if we wanted our dream to become a reality; we needed to open our own dog grooming shop.

And in November, 2020, my wife and I opened up our own full-service dog grooming salon in Milwaukie, Oregon; where we offer: bathing, gland expression, ear cleaning, blow dry, brush and comb, paw pad shaving, nail trim, and many other services.
